France’s national metrology lab for ionizing radiation, LNHB (Laboratoire national Henri-Becquerel), has designed and built a new graphite calorimeter, the GR11. The device will be used to measure the dose delivered to patients during radiotherapy treatments with small field sizes (less than 1 cm in diameter).

CEA LIST’s national metrology lab for ionizing radiation, LNHB (Laboratoire national Henri-Becquerel), has established a dose profile protocol using EBT3 Gafchromic films to improve the absolute measurement of doses in mini-beam radiotherapy. These latest-generation films make it possible to directly obtain a 2D map of the dose delivered with high spatial resolution.

CEA LIST has developed a novel Monte Carlo calculation method to estimate practitioner exposure to radiation (eye and heart doses). The method will be used to integrate a new feature into the em.SIM virtual reality simulator for interventional radiology risk management that CEA LIST developed in 2013 in partnership with esprimed.
